The Founder’s Story
Dr. Vinay Singh
A Relentless Optimist
Vinay grew up watching his multilingual family members struggle to get clear answers about addiction and mental health issues. Later, as a parent and a Professor, he saw students mis-labelled “lazy” or "incompetent" because assessments ignored how they actually processed information. Developing strong evidence-based non-pharmacological treatments for ADHD became a personal mission for Vinay, a father.
An accomplished Biotechnologist and a Data Scientist, a life-long learner who self-taught cognitive neurosciences, Vinay, partnering with Neurodiverse team members, started Orange Neurosciences in a spare bedroom, fuelled less by venture spreadsheets than by a simple conviction:
First prototype: a video-game-style therapy session that ran on WebGL, built on evenings and personal blood, sweat and money.
Breakthrough moment: A 10-year-old boy with ADHD and autism spectrum disorder went from being unable to read fluently to grade-level reading and re-admission to mainstream school from a special needs school in six months. Her mother’s tearful thanks became the company’s unofficial mission statement.
Today: Hospitals, schools, and families on four continents rely on Orange’s platform, but Vinay still measures success in individual stories, not ARR graphs.
“If a single life can change when the right insight appears at the right moment, imagine what a billion such moments could do.” - Vinay Singh
